John Albino (1944-2019)

John was born in Hartford, Connecticut. He was the son of Nicholas Albino and Margaret Ann (Grogan) Albino. His childhood was spent in Hartford where he attended St. Agustin Catholic Elementary School. As a teenager he attended the London Central High School (Bushy Park) and Archbishop Carroll High School where he graduated in 1962. After high school, John attended UCONN where he developed his love for photography. He moved to Oklahoma and Texas where he finished his college degree.

John worked as a photojournalist in several newspapers. His primary love was sport photography. He was the team photographer for several sports teams like the Philadelphia Eagles, FIFA and the Washington Diplomats. He also loved his beagle dogs.

John is survived by his wife, Vivian Deliz from San Juan, PR, and his cousin, Betty (Grogan) Caruso from Windsor, CT. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Eileen Deliz, her husband George Knox, his nephews and godchildren Willian and Katherine, his brother-in-law Dr. Reinaldo Deliz, his wife Dr. Cynthia Guzman, his nephew Dr. Reinaldo Deliz-Guzman, and his niece Dr. Claudia Deliz-Guzman.

Funeral services will be held June 7, 2019 at 11:00 am at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, Connecticut 06002. Family request no flowers.

The Classmates Helping Classmates group (CHC) held its Spring meeting on May 1, 2019 with 13 members in attendance.  The agenda focused primarily on the passing of so many classmates in the past 6 months, but especially the passing of CHC member Mike Mason.
